This workshop discusses the characteristics of at-risk students and the difficulties they face in building trusting relationships with adults in school settings. In this hands on, engaging workshop, participants will be able to 1) Employ strategies necessary to build trusting relationships, 2) Decode the true meaning of behavior displayed by students, 3) Prescribe the correct interventions to improve behavior and academic achievement, 4) Open lines of communication and 5) Develop sincere connections with at-risk students. Dr. Parker has conducted in-depth research on working with at-risk students and has extensive experience supporting them to be successful in school and life.
