Teaching Standards-Based Writing Online Course

This on-demand professional development course was developed to help teachers achieve the goals outlined in the New Illinois Learning Standards for Writing. Based on Foundational Services materials, seven modules introduce novice teachers to classroom strategies and resources available through Foundational Services and provide updated materials for experienced teachers. All participants will find a range of ways to reinforce classroom learning and build student confidence in writing; extension suggestions let students become authors and put their skills to work immediately.
