Book Study: The Burnout Cure (Learning to Love Teaching Again)

Award-winning teacher Chase Mielke draws from his own research, lesson plans, and experiences with burnout to help you change your outlook, strengthen your determination to be a terrific teacher, and reignite your core passion for teaching.

Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the text and apply it to their own practice. Participants will reflect on what they have read and complete chapter check-ins all while networking with other educators. Participants will be able to answer the critical question: How do I refuel, reenergize, and reframe to be my best as a teacher so I can give my best to learners? Participants will utilize Padlet throughout the study, which runs from October 19 through November 23, 2021. Participants will need to purchase their own copy of the book and will receive 6 PD hours if all Zoom meetings are attended. Otherwise, 4.5 PD hours will be awarded if only the Padlet content is completed.
