Description Verbal De-escalation is what should be used during a student crisis, potentially dangerous, or threatening, situation in an attempt to prevent a person from causing harm to you, themselves or others. Verbal De-escalation consists of differentiated strategies to help minimize the number/length of crisis situations in a school as well as prepare staff to deal with difficult issues.
