ROE SchoolWorks is pleased to offer School Board Leadership Training as an Illinois State Board of Education approved provider. The training, developed by a team of retired superintendents and school board members from east central Illinois, meets the requirement set forth by 105 ILCS 5/10-16a.

The training features information and interactive scenarios on the topics of: Education and Labor Law, Financial Oversight and Accountability, Fiduciary Responsibilities Effective June 13, 2011 all school board members elected or appointed for a term of at least one year's duration from that date forward must receive mandatory training.

In addition to the School Board Leadership Training, participants will also complete the PERA (Optional Alternative Evaluative Dismissal Process) training. This will provide board members a deeper look into the PERA Law regarding teacher evaluation.
