This training is designed to equip those who work with students struggling with truancy and school avoidance, educators, school administrators, and support staff with the knowledge and skills to effectively use Restorative Practices to address truancy. The goal is to foster a supportive school environment that encourages regular attendance by engaging students and their families in meaningful dialogue and problem-solving.

- Understand Restorative Practices: Learn the principles and philosophy behind Restorative Practices and how they differ from traditional disciplinary approaches.
- Identify Causes of Truancy and School Avoidance: Gain insight into the various factors that contribute to truancy, including social, emotional, academic, and familial issues.
- Engage Students and Families: Develop skills to build trust and rapport with truant students and their families to collaboratively address attendance issues.
- Implement Restorative Techniques: Learn specific restorative techniques and strategies that can be used to address truancy and improve school attendance.
