Ag in a Day - Food for Thought

The educators who attend these workshops will receive resources and lesson plan material from Illinois Ag in the Classroom, tour a local brewing company, followed by learning about specialty crops and niche markets. They will also hear from a vegetable vendor and tour and learn about a local vineyard. Drones and how they are used for ag purposes will be covered. We will also have an ag engineer present on her work and career and hear recent industry updates, receive resources, and have a lesson provided by the Midwest Dairy Association. A tour of a local producer's farm will allow educators to learn about precision planting technology and view equipment it is used in conjunction with.
